ENUGU, Nigeria (VOICE OF NAIJA)- Former President Olusegun Obasanjo, Afenifere Leader Ayo Adebanjo, and presidential candidate of the Labour Party (LP), Peter Obi, on Sunday, visited the headquarters of the Igbo socio-cultural organization, Ohanaeze Ndigbo, in Enugu State.
The trio were in the state to condole with Ohanaeze Ndigbo over the death of Mbazulike Amechi.
During their visit, Obasanjo, Adebanjo, and Obi signed the condolence register for the late Mbazulike.

Amechi, who was Nigeria’s first Minister of Aviation, died at the age of 93 on 1 November, 2023.
It would be recalled that Amaechi had, prior to his death, led a delegation of prominent Igbo leaders to President Muhammadu Buhari to request the release of the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), Mazi Nnamdi Kanu.
Obi, who shared photos of the visit, said they signed the condolence register for Mbazulike Amaechi, at the Ohanaeze Ndigbo headquarters.
The former Anambra Governor, who posted photos of the event on his verified Twitter handle, said they were received by “Chief Ogene Okeke”.
“I joined President Obasanjo and Pa Ayo Adebanjo at the Ohaneze Headquarters in Enugu to sign the condolence register for late Chief Mbazulike Amaechi. The team was received by Chief Ogene Okeke. – PO,” Obi wrote in a post on Twitter.
