ENUGU, Nigeria (VOICE OF NAIJA)- Those opposing the interests of the Ndigbo in 2023 will be defeated, the apex Igbo socio-cultural organization, Ohanaeze Ndigbo Worldwide has said.
He said that the Igbos do not seek to dominate, control or humiliate their fellow citizens or fellow humanity.
The President General of Ohanaeze Ndigbo Worldwide, Amb George Obiozor, stated this on Saturday, at the Ohanaeze Ndigbo Day organized by the UK and Northern Ireland chapter.
A statement by the spokesperson of the group, Chief Alex Ogbonnia, quoted Obiozor as saying that the Igbos had experienced various travails in Nigeria.
He, however, noted that the only option before them was to remain focused, imaginative, audacious, unflappable, and united.
“As 2023 approaches, we must remain our brother’s keeper. Ndigbo at home have shown tremendous zeal, commitment, and support to the position of Ohanaeze Ndigbo and, therefore, I urge every Igbo to reflect deeply on the Igbo dilemma.
“As I stated in my inaugural speech in 2021, ours is a righteous cause. Those who oppose us will be defeated, for unlike them, we do not seek to dominate, control or humiliate our fellow citizens or fellow humanity.”
