The Spokesperson for the Plateau State Police Command, DSP Alabo Alfred, has confirmed bandits attacked Wase Local Government Area again and killed the village head of the Nyalun community, Salisu Idris.
He added that security operatives had begun investigation into the matter.
It was gathered that two other residents were also killed during the attack which occurred on Monday night.
Residents told The Punch in Jos on Tuesday that the victims were killed in the village when the gunmen arrived at the community on motorcycles and started shooting everywhere.
According to the residents, the attackers who invaded the village around 9 30pm also abducted five members of the villageās head family including his two wives.
A youth leader in Wase, Shapiāi Sambo, said: āThe attackers came in their numbers and started shooting sporadically.
āThey went straight to the traditional rulerās house, killed him and abducted five members of his family.
āThe gunmen also made away with a good number of motorcycles belonging to the people of the community.”
