IBADAN, Nigeria (VOICE OF NAIJA) – Nollywood comic actor and movie producer, Olaniyi Afonja popularly known as Sanyeri, is celebrating his birthday today, 14 October, 2022.
The actor shared some pictures of himself on his Instagram page to mark the new age.
He shared new photos alongside a lengthy post: “It is with great pleasure that I am here to celebrate another year of my life. I am grateful for surviving all the challenges throughout the last 365 days. There’s no other way to say I am grateful for life. God, I can’t thank you enough for bringing me this far in life.
“Thank you for blessing me with life, good health, happiness and peace of mind. I’ll forever be grateful. I pray that God will continue to grant me blessings of love and joy all my life, I pray that you continue to make things happen for me and that as I live you will help me to do only things that pleases YOU.
“Once again I say thank you for blessing me with another beautiful year. Wish myself a Happy Birthday❤️.”
Born in Bola Area of Oyo town in Oyo State in 1974 as the first child of his parents, Olaniyi had his formal education at St. Michael Primary School, Òkè-èbó, Oyo State and Durbar Grammar School, Oyo Town, Oyo State where he finished his secondary school education.
Olaniyi’s acting career began in 1992, after joining a theatre group introduced to him by a friend. In 1996, Olaniyi relocated to Lagos State to further his career and has since starred in several Yoruba films including Abuke Oshin, Saworo, Opa Kan, Mawe Ku, Afoju Meta, Sanyeri in London, Apaadi among others.
