Grammy-winning singer, Damini Ogulu was among the the 447 Nigerians conferred with national awards at the 2022 National Honours Award Investiture.
President Muhammadu Buhari honoured Burna Boy with a Member of the order of the Federal Republic (MFR) award.
The ceremony took place at the International Conference Centre (ICC) in the federal capital territory (FCT) in Abuja on Tuesday, 11 October, 2022.
The Ye crooner’s father, Samuel Ogulu received the award on his behalf from Buhari.

The award comes against the backdrop of Burna Boy’s heroics in the global music landscape.
Last year, Buhari hailed the musician for clinching a Grammy award after he emerged winner of the ‘Best Global Music Album’ category for ‘Twice As Tall‘.
In a statement, Buhari said the musician had made notable contributions to music and brought glory to the country with his achievements.
“Congratulations to Burna Boy on being conferred the 2021 Grammy, the world’s most prestigious musical award,” he had said.
“He has made notable contributions in the field of music which have brought glory to Nigerians at home and abroad. We are proud of his path-breaking achievements.”
Buhari also honoured 2Baba and Teni with member of the order of the Niger (MON) rank.
