The National Agency for Food and Drugs Administration and Control (NAFDAC) has warned Nigerians about a dangerous cough syrup called ‘Naturcold’ in circulation. According to reports, the syrup which is reportedly manufactured by Fraken Group, is believed to have caused the deaths of six children under the age of five at a health facility in the health district of Fundong, in the North-West region of Cameroon. According to the North-West Regional of Cameroon delegate for Public Health, the children showed a decrease in kidney function after using the cough syrup. The Minister of Foreign Affairs, Geoffrey Onyeama, on Wednesday disclosed to the State House correspondents that the Federal Government has spent $1.2m to deploy 40 buses to evacuate at least 2,400 stranded Nigerians out of Sudan. Men of the Imo State Police have begun an ‘orderly room trial’ of six officers caught in a viral video using a machete to smack two unidentified people in the State. No fewer than 29 people have been kidnapped by gunmen who invaded the Kwali Area Council of the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja on Tuesday night. The 29, which comprised men, housewives and children, were abducted in the middle of the night from Yewuti village. Malam Jamil Ahmad Salim, the Registrar of Bayero University Kano (BUK), has been laid to rest at Dandolo cemetery in Kano metropolis following his passing.
