ENUGU, Nigeria (VOICE OF NAIJA)- The Kano Division of the Federal High Court on Friday, granted an ex-parte order stopping the Kano government from reinstating dethroned Emir Muhammadu Sanusi II.
Recall that the then-Governor Abdullahi Ganduje dethroned the former Governor of Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), as the Emir of Kano.
The order also restrained Governor Abba Yusuf’s government from enforcing the Emirate Council Repeal Law.
A traditional title holder, the Sarkin Dawaki Babba, Aminu Babba-Dan’Agundi, filed the case on Thursday after Governor Yusuf ordered him and his fellow emirs to vacate their palaces within 48 hours.
