LAGOS, Nigeria (VOICE OF NAIJA)-Sterling Bank, Alaba International market, Ojo was on Friday engulfed by an afternoon inferno.
Witnesses at the venue of the fire told Voiceofnaija.ng that the fire started as soon as electricity was restored.

A trader in the market who gave his name as Chijioke Orji said he was at the scene of the fire.
He said: “It started when PHCN restored power. We heard people shouting Sterling Bank, Fidelity Bank, fire, fire because both banks are together.
On whether anyone was killed or injured in their fire he said no, adding that the Sterling Bank security personnel acted promptly and put out the fire which had engulfed the generator house.
“No shop was affected too,” he added.
