LAGOS, Nigeria(VOICE OF NAIJA)- A 36-year-old woman, Anulika Onyeanusia, has been arrested in Anambra State after allegedly sexually abusing her young daughters and sharing videos of the abuse with an online audience for money.

Police in Onitsha also rescued her four children, including her eight-year-old daughter and reportedly recovered sex toys from the woman’s home.

The case came to public attention after disturbing videos allegedly involving Onyeanusia and one of her daughters surfaced online.

The footage triggered widespread outrage and demands for her arrest.

Onyeanusia initially denied the allegations, claiming the videos were generated with artificial intelligence and that the objects used were dummies rather than real.

However, her account reportedly changed during police questioning.

According to the reports, she admitted that she had used her eight-year-old daughter to make the videos. She also confessed to abusing her older daughter with the same objects.

The woman further told investigators that from distributing the videos online, she had earned $300, worth approximately ₦397,326 at today’s current exchange rate.

During the interrogation, Onyeanusia reportedly asked for forgiveness and blamed the devil for her actions.

Before her arrest, the controversy had already drawn strong reactions online and the woman had defended herself and condemned the backlash.

Her husband, Ikechukwu Onyeanyusi, said he was unaware that his daughters were being abused until a friend alerted him after the videos appeared online last Thursday.

In a video shared online, Onyeanyusi said his wife initially maintained that the footage was created with AI when he confronted her.

He explained that his work as a trader meant he usually left home early and returned late, making him unaware of what was happening to the children.

According to him, police later arrived at their home and arrested his wife, confirming that she only admitted to the abuse during interrogation.

The father described himself as “disappointed” after learning what his daughters had allegedly endured.

Police are now investigating whether other people were involved in the production or distribution of the videos.

Notably, the rescued children are being placed under care while authorities continue their investigation into the allegations.
