LAGOS, Nigeria(VOICE OF NAIJA)- Evicted Big Brother Naija Season 11 housemate Gerard has opened up about the difficult period he faced in the house, revealing that fear of an early eviction left him depressed.

Gerard shared the experience while reflecting on his six-week journey on the reality show in an interview with DAILY POST.

The former housemate said his worries began when he became convinced that his time on the show would end in the third week.

Gerard explained that the fear affected his emotions and also influenced his decision to end his romantic relationship with fellow housemate Kamsy.

“That was why I was so depressed, and I ended things with Kamsy,” he said.

Gerard stated that he was concerned that viewers would remember him mainly for his relationship with Kamsy rather than his own personality or achievements on the show, especially if he was evicted early.

“For me, I was just thinking that, omo, they are just going to know me outside as this guy that was just following woman, and then I will go home,” he recalled.

He further explained that he had gone through significant stress before entering the Big Brother house, making the possibility of leaving early even more difficult for him.

“With all the stress that I went through before getting into the house, all I was going to be remembered for is that guy with Kamsy,” Gerard said.

Meanwhile, his relationship with Kamsy had already suffered a major setback after a pool party incident involving her and Chimsom.

Gerard became jealous after Kamsy danced closely with Chimsom before sitting on his shoulder. He described the behaviour as disrespectful and accused Kamsy of being a manipulator.

Despite the tension surrounding his time in the house, Gerard has already picked the housemate he wants to see claim the ₦160 million prize.

He named Aikou as his favourite to win, saying, “My favourite to win is Aikou. I’m rooting for him because I like him as a person.”

Gerard was evicted on Sunday, September 6, 2026, becoming the eighth housemate to leave the Season 11 reality show after six weeks in the Big Brother house.
