LAGOS, Nigeria(VOICE OF NAIJA)- Veteran Nollywood actress Omotola Jalade-Ekeinde has opened up about the major difference she has experienced between working in Hollywood and Nollywood.
The actress revealed that her work in Hollywood continues to bring her residual payments and royalties, despite spending only five years in the American film industry.
Omotola, however, said she has received no similar payments from her three decades of work in Nollywood.
She made the comparison while speaking about how actors are compensated for their work in both film industries.

According to the actress, her Hollywood earnings continue to reach her through payments from previous projects.
“I’ve only worked in Hollywood for five years, yet I constantly receive envelopes containing my residuals and royalties,” she said.
Omotola contrasted that experience with her long career in Nigeria’s film industry.
“I’ve worked in Nollywood for 30 years and have never received a single envelope,” she added.
The actress then made a light-hearted remark about the situation, saying, “Maybe they don’t know where I live.”
