LAGOS, Nigeria(VOICE OF NAIJA)- British-Nigerian businessman and influencer Igho “Tiny” Ubiribo, popularly known as Ego, has died after complications from a penis enlargement procedure he underwent during a luxury trip to Thailand.
The 43-year-old reportedly had the cosmetic procedure in March 2026 while vacationing in Thailand with his wife, Danielle Simba Allen.
According to reports, an inquest at the Inner West London Coroner’s Court heard that 40 millilitres of hyaluronic acid and lidocaine were injected into Ego’s penis at an unnamed clinic.
After the procedure, Ego returned to a Marriott hotel in Bangkok with his wife.
However, the lifestyle influencer later complained of chest pain and reportedly lost consciousness twice.
Danielle told doctors at Sukhumvit Hospital about the filler injections after Ego was rushed there for treatment.
He reportedly lost consciousness again before doctors could carry out a recommended CT scan.
Doctors later determined that Ego had suffered a pulmonary embolism, a condition in which a blood vessel supplying the lungs becomes blocked.

Despite efforts to save him, with medics reportedly performing CPR for more than 100 minutes, Ego died in the early hours of March 6, 2026.
A postmortem examination carried out in the United Kingdom reportedly found cellular material in his lungs that matched the hyaluronic acid used during the cosmetic procedure.
The coroner, Jean Harkin subsequently ruled that Ego died from a pulmonary embolism caused by the procedure.
Beyond the circumstances surrounding his death, Ego was known for displaying his lavish lifestyle on Instagram and was closely associated with Davido and members of his social circle.
His funeral was later held in London, where he was buried in a gold coffin reportedly valued at more than $745,000.
Ego’s death has since drawn attention to the risks surrounding cosmetic procedures, while his extravagant funeral reflected the lavish lifestyle for which he was widely known.
