LAGOS, Nigeria (VOICE OF NAIJA) – The National Sports Commission (NSC) Director General Bukola Olopade has rewarded Shooting Stars with N5 million, after their CAF Confederation Cup victory over CS Sfaxien.
The Oluyole Warriors defeated the Tunisian club 1-0 in the first leg at the Moshood Abiola Stadium, Abeokuta, on Saturday.
The victory gives the Nigerian side a narrow advantage ahead of the return fixture in Tunisia.
Shooting Stars are scheduled to travel this week for Sunday’s decisive second leg against the Tunisian outfit.
An advance party is expected to leave on Monday to arrange accommodation and other logistics for the delegation.

A club official told BSN Sports that preparations are underway for the team’s smooth stay in Tunisia.
The Nigerian representatives face a difficult challenge against Sfaxien on their home ground.
However, a draw would be enough for Shooting Stars to secure qualification for the next round.
Another victory would also guarantee the Oluyole Warriors’ progress in the continental competition.
Some reports suggest that Olopade could reward the team again if they manage to win.
A defeat, meanwhile, would put their hopes of advancing under serious threat.
The first-leg result has placed Shooting Stars in a favourable position before the crucial return encounter.
Olopade’s reward is expected to provide additional motivation as the players prepare for the trip to Tunisia.
The team will need defensive discipline and clinical finishing to withstand Sfaxien’s expected attacking pressure in the return.
