LAGOS, Nigeria(VOICE OF NAIJA)- Nollywood actress Oluebube Obio, popularly known as Ebube, has broken her silence over her appearance at an All Progressives Congress (APC) campaign event in Bayelsa State, claiming she was forced to attend despite feeling uncomfortable about being there.
The actress made the claim after coming under criticism over videos showing her at the political gathering.
Her appearance sparked questions from some Nigerians, with several fans asking why she chose to associate with the ruling party, which many Nigerians blame for the country’s current challenges.
As a result, Oluebube stated that her presence at the campaign was not entirely by choice.

In a social media post, the actress said there was more to what happened than what was captured in the videos, alleging that some unnamed people were blackmailing her.
According to Oluebube, she felt uncomfortable and stressed during the event but was unable to leave the situation.
“I was actually forced to be in such settings, my life and safety is not guaranteed, if you watch the video closely, I myself felt so much discomfort and stressed up,” she said.

The actress further stated that she would eventually reveal those allegedly behind the situation when she was ready.
“When the time is right I will expose the people blackmailing me, the least you can do is to pray for me,” Oluebube added.
Meanwhile, Oluebube did not explain what led to her appearance at the APC campaign or provide further details about the alleged threats to her safety.
For now, the actress has asked her supporters to pray for her while hinting that she may reveal more about the matter in the future.
