LAGOS, Nigeria(VOICE OF NAIJA)- Veteran Nollywood actor Kayode Olasehinde Ajirebi, popularly known as Pa James, has responded to concerns over a viral video showing him making his own meal and eating alone at home.
The veteran actor, best known for his role as Pa James in the popular sitcom Papa Ajasco and Company, shared the video on TikTok on Friday, August 15.
In the clip, he was seen sitting beside a portable gas cooker, preparing his meal while smiling and appearing relaxed.
The video quickly gained attention on social media, with many fans expressing concern about the actor’s wellbeing.
Some also questioned where his family and children were while he cooked and ate alone.
However, Pa James appeared unfazed by the reactions. Responding to the concerns in his TikTok comment section, the actor reassured his followers that there was no cause for alarm.

“No stress o, cooking is My Hobby,” he wrote.
Pa James became a household name through his memorable character in Papa Ajasco and Company, a long-running Wale Adenuga Productions sitcom that became a major part of Nigerian pop culture.
Because of his status as one of Nollywood’s respected veteran actors, the sight of him quietly preparing his own meal prompted some Nigerians to question how industry veterans are supported after their most active years.
For the veteran actor, cooking appeared to be simply a personal hobby rather than a sign of distress.
