LAGOS, Nigeria(VOICE OF NAIJA)- Afrobeats star Ayra Starr has released her highly anticipated third studio album, Starr Girl, featuring Wizkid, Rema, Leon Thomas, Kwn and other notable artistes.
The 16-track album arrived on Friday, August 14, marking another major step in the singer’s fast-growing career and expanding global profile.
One of the biggest highlights of the project is Gimme Dat, which features Nigerian music heavyweight Wizkid.
Rema also joins Ayra Starr on Who’s Dat Girl, while UK artiste Kwn appears on Amazing.
The album further features Theodora on Ms. Paper and American singer Leon Thomas on Pressure.

Beyond the new tracks, Starr Girl includes some of Ayra Starr’s previously released songs, such as Tornado, Hot Body, Where Do We Go, Letter To God and Misunderstood.
The new album comes two years after her sophomore project, The Year I Turned 21, which followed her 2021 debut album, 19 & Dangerous.

Fondly known by fans as “Celestial Being”, Ayra Starr has grown into one of Nigeria’s leading Afrobeats exports, earning international recognition with hit songs including Rush and Commas.
Notably, the album has already made an impact on streaming platforms.

Ayra Starr set a new Spotify Nigeria record after Starr Girl recorded 1.82 million opening-day streams, making it the biggest first-day performance for an album by a female artiste in Nigeria.
The singer has also confirmed that fans can expect more music from the Starr Girl era.
According to the artist, the deluxe edition of the album is ready and will be released before her upcoming Starr Girl Tour.
Speaking about what listeners should expect from the extended project, she said, “The deluxe is more of the party vibe songs.”
With Starr Girl already attracting attention for its star-studded collaborations and strong streaming debut, Ayra Starr is set to take another major step in her global Afrobeats journey.
