LAGOS, Nigeria(VOICE OF NAIJA)- The wife of the All Progressives Congress (APC) governorship candidate in Osun State, Dr Sekinah Oyebamiji, has expressed confidence that her husband, Asiwaju Munirudeen Bola Oyebamiji, will emerge victorious in the ongoing governorship election and become Osun State’s next governor.
Sekinah who casted her ballot at Ward 9, Unit 003, AUD Primary School, Ikire, in Irewole Local Government Area, praised the conduct of the election so far, particularly the impressive turnout of voters and the orderly atmosphere at her polling unit.
She stated that officials of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) had conducted themselves professionally, while the presence of security personnel had helped maintain order.
“The voters’ turnout is quite impressive. The INEC officials are conducting themselves professionally. There are police officers around,” she said.

Sekinah added that the overall process had remained peaceful, expressing optimism about her husband’s chances of winning the election.
“I think the process is good so far. The expectation is that Asiwaju Munirudeen Bola Oyebamiji will carry the day,” Sekinah added.
Her comments came as voters across Osun State continued to cast their ballots to determine who will lead the state for the next term.
With voting underway, attention remains on voter turnout, the conduct of the exercise and the eventual outcome of the closely watched governorship contest.
