LAGOS, Nigeria (VOICE OF NAIJA) – The Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) Chairman Gbenga Elegbeleye has stated that there will be no more excuses for not watching Nigerian football after the unveiled of a YouTube live-streaming partnership with Murphy Ben International (MBI).

At the official signing ceremony, Elegbeleye described the initiative as a landmark moment for the league, stressing that fans will now have unprecedented access to matches.

“There will be no more excuses of ‘I didn’t see the match,’” Elegbeleye declared.

“Supporters everywhere will be able to watch selected live coverage and delayed broadcasts in HD, free of charge,” he added.

For years, one of the most frustrating questions for NPFL followers has been: Where can we watch the NPFL? According to Elegbeleye, that question now has a loud and definitive answer.

The partnership will deliver matches directly to mobile phones, televisions, laptops, and other internet-enabled devices, opening a new chapter in digital broadcasting, fan engagement, and commercial development.

But Elegbeleye emphasized that the importance of the deal goes beyond broadcasting.

“This partnership is about visibility, revenue, and giving our players a global platform to showcase their talent,” he explained.

He added that Murphy Ben International was chosen because it shares the NPFL’s vision of revolutionizing Nigerian football, much like Nigerian music and Nollywood have taken the country’s culture to international audiences.

Murphy Ben International Chairman, Mr. Murphy Anawana, echoed the sentiment, describing the partnership as an opportunity to tell the story of the NPFL to a global audience.

“We will deploy our production capabilities and extended social media reach to position the NPFL as number one in Africa,” Anawana assured.

Under the new arrangement, some NPFL matches will enjoy live coverage, while multiple games will be available through delayed broadcasts every matchday on the official NPFL YouTube channel.
