LAGOS, Nigeria (VOICE OF NAIJA) – The International Cricket Council (ICC) has imposed a sweeping eight-year ban on United States international Bodugum Reddy after finding him guilty of multiple breaches of the sport’s anti-corruption code.
The ruling, delivered by an ICC Anti-Corruption Tribunal, underscores the governing body’s uncompromising stance against match-fixing and integrity violations.
Reddy, 26, was charged with three counts of misconduct during the Abu Dhabi T10 League in 2025.
The tribunal concluded he attempted to fix or improperly influence matches, encouraged another participant to engage in corrupt activity, and obstructed investigators by deleting data and messages from his mobile device.
The ban has been backdated to November 21, 2025, when he was provisionally suspended.
The spinner had only recently made his USA debut against the Cayman Islands in April 2025, featuring in four T20 internationals.

He also represented Aspin Stallions in the Abu Dhabi T10, a side that included former India star Harbhajan Singh and England’s Sam Billings, reaching the final of the tournament.
The ICC’s ruling effectively ends Reddy’s international career for the foreseeable future, stripping USA Cricket of a young player who had shown promise.
