LAGOS, Nigeria (VOICE OF NAIJA) āĀ NBA superstar LeBron James who announced that he will be joining the Philadelphia 76ers next season has revealed that he would help the team compete for the title, Voice of Naija – VONa Communications reports.
The former LA Lakers player stated this on his official X account.
āI still want to sacrifice. I still want to work. I still want to grind. I still want to compete, to win and to have a chance at the feeling of winning another championship.
āI believe I can help make the Philadelphia 76ers a championship team and I am so excited to energize a new fan base and start this incredible journey one last time,ā LeBron wrote on X.
James added that the 76ers would be his final team in the NBA, noting that he joined them because he believed he still had a lot left in the tank.
āThis is my last decision. Iām not going for money. Iām not going for family. What am I really playing for at this point? I still want to sacrifice. I still want to work. I still want to grind. I still want to compete, to win and to have a chance at the feeling of winning,ā he said.

The NBA all-time leading scorer also appreciated the fans in his previous teams.

The 41-year-old superstar departed the Los Angeles Lakers after eight years.
Several teams were rumored contenders, including Cleveland Cavaliers, Golden State Warriors, Minnesota Timberwolves, and Miami Heat.
James has captured NBA titles with all three franchises he previously represented, including two championships with Miami Heat.
James enjoyed two separate spells with Cleveland Cavaliers, drafted first overall in 2003 near his hometown Akron.
He guided Cleveland to their historic 2016 NBA championship before joining Lakers in 2018, winning another title.
James has earned NBA Most Valuable Player honors four times between 2009 and 2013, showcasing his dominance.
