LAGOS, Nigeria(VOICE OF NAIJA)- American streaming sensation IShowSpeed created a viral moment at the 2026 FIFA World Cup final after jokingly asking Seyi Tinubu and his children to help him secure a Nigerian passport.
The popular streamer made the request during Spain’s 1-0 victory over Argentina at the MetLife Stadium in New Jersey, where he was livestreaming his World Cup experience.
A video that has since gone viral captured the moment someone in Seyi Tinubu’s entourage introduced him to the streamer by saying, “The son of the Nigeria President is here.”
IShowSpeed immediately walked over to greet Seyi Tinubu before posing for photographs with him and his children.

While interacting with the children, the 20-year-old content creator jokingly said, “Tell your dad to get me a Nigeria passport.”
He repeated the request moments later while greeting Seyi Tinubu, saying, “Hey man, I gotta get my passport.”

Dressed in a jacket featuring the flags of several countries, including Nigeria’s, IShowSpeed’s playful remark drew laughter from those around him and quickly spread across social media.
The request also reflected the streamer’s growing admiration for Nigeria, which he has showcased through his livestreams featuring Afrobeats music, Nigerian culture and his popular jollof rice taste tests.
Beyond the viral interaction, IShowSpeed made history at the tournament by becoming the first content creator to perform at a FIFA World Cup.

He wrapped up the closing ceremony with a performance of his World Cup theme song, “Champions.”

The performance attracted a record-breaking audience, with more than 48 million viewers tuning into his livestream, making it the most-watched broadcast of his streaming career.
