LAGOS, Nigeria (VOICE OF NAIJA) – Online streamer and popular content creator Darren Watkins Jr., also known as IShowSpeed has told President Bola Tinubu’s grandchildren to tell the head of state to give him a Nigerian passport, Voice of Naija – VONa Communications reports.
Speed who performed in the 2026 FIFA World Cup Final closing ceremony was in the VIP section when someone introduced Seyi Tinubu, the son of President Bola Tinubu and his children to him during the final.
In a video captured on his stream and posted on X, a surprised Speed replied saying: “Oh really, what’s good y’all”
The streamer proceeded to invite Tinubu’s grandkids for a picture then shook their hands before popping the question.
“Nice to meet you all. Come on let’s take a picture. Hey man tell your daddy to give me a passport,” Speed said jokingly to the children after Seyi Tinubu took the pictures.
The joke comes months after IShowSpeed’s visit to Nigeria during his Africa tour, where he received a warm reception from fans across the country.
During his time in Nigeria, the American streamer visited many landmarks in Lagos and celebrated his 21st birthday in the country.
At the end of the match, the streamer who is a Ronaldo fan also emotional after he saw Messi in tears.
