LAGOS, Nigeria(VOICE OF NAIJA)- Grammy-winning Afrobeats star Wizkid has announced two major festival appearances in the United States this July, exciting fans who have already declared the celebration “Starboy Month” across social media.
The “Ojuelegba” star shared the announcement via social media, revealing that he will headline BlastFest in Seattle on July 18 before taking the stage at Trillville, also known as the Tribeville Festival Deluxe, in Minneapolis on July 24.
At BlastFest, Wizkid will perform alongside a star-studded lineup that includes DJ Mustard, Shenseea, Tyler ICU and fellow Nigerian singer Pheelz, adding even more anticipation to the event.

The announcement comes weeks after the Afrobeats star hinted that he had lined up several major festival appearances across the United States for the summer and fall of 2026, particularly events celebrating Black music and culture.
Following the announcement, fans have flooded social media with excitement following the update, with many describing the period as “Starboy Month” in celebration of Wizkid’s return to major international festival stages.
The announcement quickly gained traction online, attracting thousands of likes, comments and shares from supporters eager to see the singer perform some of his biggest hits, including songs from his Grammy-nominated ‘Made in Lagos’ album, which featured the global smash hit ‘Essence’ with Tems.
The upcoming performances further reinforce Wizkid’s status as one of Africa’s biggest musical exports, with the singer continuing to secure top billing at international festivals celebrating global Black music and culture.
