LAGOS, Nigeria(VOICE OF NAIJA)- Nigerian music star Davido has disclosed that one of the songs originally planned for his new album, ‘Oriade’, was removed after his longtime aide, Israel DMW, accidentally leaked part of it online.
Speaking during a recent interview, the award-winning singer explained that he had played the unreleased track for Israel before the album dropped, but specifically instructed him not to share it with anyone.
According to Davido, Israel assured him that the song would remain private but did the exact opposite.
The “With You” crooner said that after the initial leak, he warned Israel DMW not to play the song again, and his longtime aide promised to keep it private.

However, things took an unexpected turn when a video later surfaced online showing Israel dancing excitedly to the unreleased record.
“I took down one song off the album cause Isreal DMW kind of leaked it. He promised not to play it again when I warned him only for me to see a video of him dancing with a towel vibing to the song online 2 days later,” Davido said with a laugh.
The now-viral clip, which captured Israel DMW wearing only a towel around his waist while vibing to the song, quickly spread across social media and exposed part of the track ahead of its official release.
Davido said the incident disrupted the album’s rollout plans, leaving him with no choice but to remove the song from ‘Oriade’ entirely.
The singer and Israel DMW have maintained a close relationship for years, with Israel serving as Davido’s personal aide and logistics manager at concerts, tours and other major engagements.
