LAGOS, Nigeria(VOICE OF NAIJA)- Nigerian singer Paul Okoye, popularly known as Rudeboy, has publicly accused an Atlanta-based car dealer of defrauding him after allegedly collecting full payment for a vehicle that was never purchased.

The former P-Square star shared the allegation in a series of posts on his Instagram Story, revealing that the dispute has stretched on for two years.

Rudeboy said he transferred the complete cost of the vehicle to someone he had trusted for years before travelling to Atlanta in the United States.

On arrival, the dealer presented him with a car, leaving him with no reason to suspect anything was wrong.

However, the singer said the situation changed when it was time to ship the vehicle.

He claimed the dealer repeatedly blamed the delay on issues with the car’s title documents and even said he planned to sue the car company.

Rudeboy later discovered, according to his account, that the vehicle he had been driving was not the one he paid for.

Instead, he alleged that he had unknowingly been given a rented car despite making full payment in advance.

“Imagine sending money to someone you trusted for years buying cars for you… then one day the person decided to think you are a fool,” he wrote.

Explaining what happened, he added, “Sent 100% full money ahead before coming to Atlanta, arrived Atlanta, he brought the car, drove the car like few weeks, e reach to ship my car story change… Title papers delaying bla bla… how he’s going to sue the car company bla bla… only to find out I drove a rented car.”

Although Rudeboy did not identify the dealer in his initial post, he warned that he intended to expose the person’s identity and business.

“For the same Atlanta! Guy! Your name go cast, your face go cast, your company go cast. Na me be your last client,” the singer wrote in a follow-up post.
