LAGOS, Nigeria(VOICE OF NAIJA)- A touching display of friendship between Nollywood stars Mercy Johnson and Regina Daniels has captured public attention after the veteran actress surprised her younger colleague with a truckload of gifts for her new Abuja home, after she requested for a television.
The heartwarming moment, which took place on July 8, was captured in a video shared by Regina on Instagram.
The clip showed a black pickup truck arriving at her compound with several branded boxes carefully packed inside.
Regina, who has often described Mercy Johnson as a mother figure, could barely contain her excitement when she saw the unexpected delivery.
The younger actress jumped in celebration before quickly reaching for her phone to call Mercy and express her gratitude.
During the emotional phone conversation, Regina broke down in tears and went on her knees while thanking the actress she affectionately calls “mummy” for going beyond her expectations.
According to Regina, she had only informed Mercy Johnson that she needed a television for her new Abuja home.

However, the actress decided to surprise her with far more than what she requested.
Sharing the moment online, Regina praised Mercy for her kindness and described herself as lucky to have such a supportive figure in her life.
“Everyone!!! Permit me to show off how spoilt I am 🤭. Short story: So I told my mama @mercyjohnsonokojie that I want a TV for my new home in Abuja. And as always, mama went extra mile to put a smile on my face 🥹… kaiii!! My Queennnnn!! I love youyuuu!!! May I never be a part of anything that will cause you pain ma,” she wrote.
The actress further expressed her deep appreciation for Mercy, saying her love and gratitude were difficult to put into words.
“Omo!!! Mummyyyy I’m tired of shouting I love youuu but that seems to be the only words my heart speaks. Thank youuuu my LEGEND,” Regina added.
Mercy Johnson, who has maintained a close relationship with Regina over the years, responded to the post with a short but affectionate message.
“🩸 love you. 🐱🥰,” she replied.
