LAGOS, Nigeria(VOICE OF NAIJA)- Popular Nigerian TikToker Peller has opened up about his difficult experience in police custody, revealing that he spent nearly four days in a cell without eating or bathing after his arrest over an alleged traffic-related offence in Lagos.
The content creator shared the details in a post on his Snapchat page shortly after regaining his freedom.
Peller said he was still recovering from the experience and joked that he was not ready to show his face because of how much the ordeal affected him.
He described the detention as his first experience of being locked up, adding that it was a moment he would never forget.
“I can’t show my face yet because I’m ugly. Omo, I slept in the cell for almost four days. It has never happened to me before in my life,” he wrote.
Peller also recalled the reaction of other inmates when he arrived at the cell, saying they welcomed him by calling him their “001”.

According to him, the nickname brought some humour to an otherwise difficult situation.
“As they put me for cell, people wey dey there said, ‘You be our 001 now.’ Omo, I burst laugh once. I no follow anybody talk till I comot,” he said.
However, the TikTok star explained that he avoided interacting with other inmates throughout his stay and refused the food offered to him.
“001 wey una wan give water and beans to eat. I didn’t eat or bathe for four days. Dem wan wicked me, but God save me,” he added.
The revelation comes days after Peller’s arrest by the Lagos State Police Command over allegations that he drove a vehicle without a number plate along the Lagos-Calabar Coastal Road.
Following his arrest, the streamer was arraigned before a Lagos magistrate court on Wednesday, July 9, where he faced a three-count charge bordering on alleged resistance, obstruction of police officers carrying out their duties, and allegedly threatening and recording officers during the incident.
