LAGOS, Nigeria (VOICE OF NAIJA) – Kano Pillars have confirmed the appointment of Daniel Ogunmodede as the club’s new technical adviser ahead of the 2026/27 Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) season.
The four-time NPFL champions announced the appointment in a brief statement posted on their official X account on Friday.
The statement signed by the club’s media director Isma’eel Abba Tangalashi expressed the club’s delight at his appointment.
“We’ve reached an agreement to appoint Daniel Ogunmodede (Ijaball) as our new Technical Adviser ahead of the 2026/2027 football season.
“Welcome to Kano and the Sai Masu Gida family are happy to have you with us!, Media Director, Kano Pillars FC,” the statement read.
Ogunmodede is expected to sign a two-year contract with the Sai Masu Gida.
The 46-year-old arrives with an impressive reputation after guiding Remo Stars to the NPFL title in the 2024/25 campaign.

Ogunmodede is also one of the assistant coaches to Super Eagles head coach Éric Chelle.
His appointment is expected to boost Kano Pillars’ ambitions of returning to the summit after they escaped relegation last season.
With his track record, the Kano Pillars hierarchy will be hoping Ogunmodede can replicate the success he enjoyed at Remo Stars.
