LAGOS, Nigeria(VOICE OF NAIJA)- Nollywood star Toyin Abraham has finally addressed her widely discussed encounter with Funke Akindele, revealing why she no longer lets criticism affect her and explaining her stance on comparisons with other actors.
Speaking during The Morayo Afolabi Show, Abraham said she has reached a point in her life where negative comments no longer bother her.
The actress insists that any response she gives online is simply for entertainment rather than out of anger.
“There is nothing anyone would say that will get to me anymore. If I respond to you, it’s because I am just having fun with you. I want to play with you,” Abraham said.
When asked about her disagreement with Akindele, the actress declined to revisit the issue, saying she prefers not to dwell on past events.
“I don’t want to talk about it because I don’t like talking about my past,” she responded.

Abraham also spoke against being compared with other entertainers, stressing that she wants to be appreciated for who she is rather than being placed in competition with anyone else.
“I don’t like it when they pitch me with anyone. I just want to be me, Toyin Abraham Ajeyemi,” she added.
The comments come months after the actresses made headlines following an awkward moment at the premiere of The Return of Arinzo, hosted by Iyabo Ojo in April.
During the event, a video that quickly spread across social media showed Akindele seated beside Iyabo Ojo and Mercy Aigbe when Abraham approached to greet them.
Despite greeting several times and attempting to get Akindele’s attention, the filmmaker maintained a straight face and did not respond, leaving Abraham visibly ignored.
Shortly afterwards, Abraham declared that she would never greet Akindele again before unfollowing her colleague on social media.
