LAGOS, Nigeria(VOICE OF NAIJA)- Nigerian singer Victony has opened up about the defining moments of his music journey, revealing how rapper Falz gave him his first major opportunity without asking for payment.
The singer made the revelation during a recent interview, where he looked back on the highs and lows that have shaped his career while also reflecting on the personal struggles that nearly made him quit.
According to Victony, Falz’s support came at a crucial stage of his journey and helped open doors for him in the industry.
“Falz gave me my first opportunity in music, he did it for free,” he said.

Beyond his career breakthrough, Victony also reflected on his recovery after the life-changing accident that left him hospitalized in 2021.
The singer explained that music became his biggest source of strength during the difficult period, helping him remain hopeful while healing physically and emotionally.
He admitted that there were moments when he questioned whether to continue making music, especially after his former management team parted ways with him.

“Music was what kept me going during my recovery phase during my accident. There was times I felt like giving up on music after my management left,” he recalled.
Victony also revealed that the demands of his growing career have affected the amount of time he spends with his loved ones.
The “Stubborn” hitmaker revealed that his family often complains that he is no longer as close to them because of his busy schedule, but he is intentionally trying to strike a better balance between his career and personal life.
“My family always complain that I’m no more close to them cuz of how busy I am with music but I’m working on that,” Victony added.
