Blord Advises Singles To Delay Marriage Until Financially Ready

LAGOS, Nigeria(VOICE OF NAIJA)- Nigerian crypto entrepreneur Linus Williams Ifejirika, popularly known as Blord, has advised young people against rushing into marriage because of age or societal pressure, saying financial stability and choosing the right partner matter more than meeting expectations.

The entrepreneur made the remarks during a recent episode of the Adult Gist podcast, where he discussed relationships, family life and the growing pressure many young Nigerians face to marry early.

Blord said that many people enter marriage simply because of societal expectations or peer influence, only to discover later that they were unprepared for the responsibilities that come with it.

He warned that marriage should never be seen as a race or a measure of success.

“Don’t rush to marry. Take your time and make a good choice for a life partner. Don’t break ladies’ hearts because one day you are going to have a daughter and what you did to other people’s daughters someone else is going to do the same to your daughter,” the businessman said.

Blord also urged men and women to treat each other with the same respect and level of emotional maturity they would want for their future children.

“Treat women the way you want them to treat your daughter. Ladies, treat a man the way you want them to treat your son,” he advised.

Continuing, he stressed that external pressure should never determine when someone gets married, warning that hasty decisions often lead to broken unions.

“So, don’t be in a rush to marry. Marriage is not an achievement. Nobody should push you into marriage. Because if you rush into marriage, you will rush out,” Blord added.

The businessman further argued that age should not dictate when people choose a life partner, encouraging singles to prioritize compatibility over timelines.

“So, take your time. Age doesn’t matter… Don’t marry who you will regret later. Because to reverse marriage is very very hard, most especially when children are involved,” he concluded
