LAGOS, Nigeria(VOICE OF NAIJA)- Nigerian actor Baba Ijesha and his wife, celebrity stylist Luminee, have set social media abuzz after announcing the Aso Ebi prices for the naming ceremony of their newborn son, King Kagar.
The couple, whose real names are Olanrewaju James Omiyinka and Abiodun Tokunbo, revealed that the event will hold on August 27, 2026.
They shared an elaborate invitation flyer on their Instagram pages, which also included payment details for guests interested in purchasing the official attire.
According to the flyer, the men’s Aso Ebi package costs ₦250,000, while the women’s package is priced at ₦350,000.

The announcement quickly triggered mixed reactions online, with many Nigerians questioning whether celebrity family celebrations have become excessively expensive.

Some social media users also compared the prices with those recently announced by Nollywood couple Lateef Adedimeji and Mo’Bimpe for the Aso Ebi at the forthcoming dedication of their triplet, noting a growing trend of premium-priced celebrity event attire.
The naming ceremony comes only weeks after Baba Ijesha and Luminee welcomed their first child together.

The actor confirmed the birth of their son in June, while Luminee celebrated the arrival of the baby with a message on social media.
Notably, the announcement has reopened conversations about the public attention that continues to follow Baba Ijesha after his release from prison in November 2025 following his 2022 conviction on sexual assault and current status as a registered sex offender.
