LAGOS, Nigeria(VOICE OF NAIJA)- Ghanian online singer Enoch Eshun, popularly known as Enochay, has died just one year after receiving a life-changing donation that helped him cope with a rare medical condition.

The singer who’s also a student of the University of Cape Coast (UCC), died on Friday, June 26.

Enochay became widely known across Ghana after publicly sharing his struggle with a rare medical condition that prevented him from sitting or bending.

His story of resilience inspired many and attracted support from kind-hearted individuals.

His death comes just a year after businessman Yaw Amponsah Marfo, popularly known as Agya Wiase, donated a brand-new Hyundai Tucson and GH₵20,000 (about ₦3 million) to support his education and improve his daily mobility.

Ghanaian blogger Zion Felix, who first interviewed the late singer, confirmed the sad news after speaking with Enochay’s mother.

Although the exact cause of death has not been made public, many believe it may have been related to the medical condition he had battled for several years.

Enochay first captured national attention during an interview with Zion Felix, where he revealed that he had lived with the condition for five years.

At just 19 years old, he explained that he could only remain standing or lying down, making everyday activities extremely difficult.

Transportation was one of his biggest challenges because he could not use public buses and depended on private vehicles to attend lectures, placing significant financial pressure on his family.

Following the emotional interview, Agya Wiase stepped in to help by donating an SUV and financial support.

At the time, Enochay described the gesture as “life-changing,” while his mother said the assistance brought “great relief” to the family.

News of his passing has triggered an outpouring of tributes from students, fans and well-wishers across Ghana, with many remembering Enochay for his courage, determination and unwavering spirit despite the challenges he faced.
