LAGOS, Nigeria(VOICE OF NAIJA)- Media personality Morayo Afolabi-Brown has shared her thoughts on marriage, revealing that she would not stand in the way if her husband chose to become a polygamist because of her Yoruba upbringing.

The former TVC presenter made the disclosure during a recent episode of Brown’s Couch, where she had an honest conversation with her husband, Femi Afolabi-Brown, about relationships, marriage and family.

Speaking during the discussion, Morayo said the idea of a man having more than one wife is not unfamiliar in many Yoruba families.

According to her, growing up in that environment prepared her mentally for such a possibility.

“I don’t mind if you become a polygamist. As a Yoruba lady, I have been conditioned to understand that it could be a possibility,” she told her husband.

She stressed that her acceptance comes with an important condition.

Morayo explained that she would only have a problem if she or their children were neglected because of another wife.

She stated that her priority would always be the well-being of her family rather than the number of wives her husband has.
