LAGOS, Nigeria(VOICE OF NAIJA)- Nollywood actor Kunle Remi has voiced his frustration over Nigeria’s security situation, describing the country’s challenges as the result of a “government disaster” rather than natural calamities.
Remi questioned the government’s response to the prolonged captivity of kidnapped schoolchildren and their teachers in Oyo State.

Sharing his thoughts via his Instagram Story, the actor compared Nigeria’s situation with that of other countries affected by natural disasters.
“Other parts of the world have Natural disasters. Nigeria has a government disaster!” he wrote.
He later expanded on his concerns in a separate Instagram post, drawing attention to the reported kidnapping of schoolchildren and their teachers in Oyo State.
He stated that 40 days have passed since the incident, yet the victims remain in captivity while their families continue to endure fear and uncertainty.

Expressing frustration over the security situation, Kunle questioned why armed criminals appeared to move freely despite the presence of security agencies tasked with protecting lives and property.
In his words, “40 Days and families are still torn apart. Children are still suffering simply because they were born in Nigeria. Teachers are still in captivity instead of in their classrooms. Families remain in fear, grief, and dismay. Meanwhile, bandits move freely through towns while the very security agencies meant to protect us appear to wave them through. What exactly are we waiting for?”
In a past post, the actor lamented that election campaigns and political preparations were continuing despite the insecurity facing many Nigerians, adding that he hoped the nation would never become so accustomed to suffering that people stopped feeling compassion for victims.
