LAGOS, Nigeria(VOICE OF NAIJA)- Nigerian singer Portable has joined the growing online debate over YCee’s criticism of content creator Peller, accusing the rapper of acting out of frustration rather than focusing on rebuilding his music career.
The controversy began after YCee lamented what he described as an “Olodo Uprising,” arguing that society now celebrates viral content over education and intellectual achievement.
His remarks triggered mixed reactions from celebrities and social media users, with several public figures weighing in from different perspectives.
Portable has now entered the conversation, defending Peller while taking direct aim at YCee.

In a video shared online, the singer accused the rapper of unfairly blaming the young content creator instead of concentrating on his own career.
The “Zach” crooner maintained that YCee never pointed fingers at anyone when his music career was thriving, suggesting that his recent comments were driven more by personal frustration than genuine concern.
He also dismissed criticisms about Peller’s educational background, insisting that formal education alone does not determine success.

Portable questioned what YCee’s education had translated into financially, using the rapper’s personal achievements as an example.
He further alleged that some celebrities deliberately create controversies to regain public attention and remain relevant on social media.
“The time when Ycee was reigning he didn’t blame another man. When life dey sweet you you no blame another man and another man no blame you but now that his life is bitter he’s now blaming Peller. You no fit beg God for grace? Small pikin you dey say because him no go school na him make am dey do like that. You wey go school wetin you use your money do? How many car you get? Anytime they want to trend they chase clout,” Portable said.
