LAGOS, Nigeria(VOICE OF NAIJA)- The long-running paternity controversy involving Kenyan woman Hellen Ati and socialite Cubana Chief Priest has resurfaced after Ati made another emotional appeal, claiming she is struggling to care for a sick child she insists belongs to the businessman.
In a video making the rounds on social media, Hellen expressed frustration over what she described as the challenges of raising her son alone.
She tearfully claimed the child is currently unwell and appealed for support, insisting she has carried the responsibility of caring for him by herself and is “tired.”
Making a direct appeal to online folks, she said, “Make Una beg Una brother make him come take him pikin. I don tire. Come and take this your boy. Your pikin dey sick right now. I’m tired come and carry this boy. I don tire to dey feed this boy. Na me dey feed this boy alone. You give me job….”

The controversy dates back to claims made by Hellen that her son, Pascal, was conceived after an alleged encounter with Cubana Chief Priest in Lagos in 2022.
Since then, she has repeatedly maintained that the socialite is the child’s father and has publicly called for a DNA test and financial support.
However, Cubana Chief Priest has consistently denied the allegations. The businessman has described the claims as false and previously argued that they were aimed at damaging his family and marriage.
The dispute took a legal turn in June 2025 when the socialite filed a defamation suit against Hellen.
Reports indicated that he secured a court order restraining her from making further online publications about the matter.
Despite the legal battle, the issue has continued to attract attention on social media, with supporters of both parties expressing differing views.
Notably, no DNA test result has been made public, and details regarding child support remain unverified. Both sides have maintained opposing positions, leaving the paternity claim unresolved.
