LAGOS, Nigeria (VOICE OF NAIJA) – Chelsea are exploring a potential swap deal involving striker Nicolas Jackson as they pursue Juventus defender Andrea Cambiaso this summer.
Cambiaso has emerged as one of Chelsea’s defensive targets, with the club said to be keen on his versatility. The Italy international is capable of playing at left-back, right-back and in midfield, making him an attractive option for head coach Enzo Maresca.
Juventus are understood to value Cambiaso at around €40 million. Reports suggest Chelsea’s initial cash offer fell below that valuation, prompting discussions over alternative structures that could include Jackson.

The Senegal international scored 14 goals last season but has been linked with a move away from Stamford Bridge as Chelsea continue to reshape their squad ahead of the new campaign.
Any potential swap deal would depend on Juventus’ valuation of Jackson and whether both clubs can agree on the financial terms. Discussions are understood to be at an early stage, with no agreement yet reached.
Chelsea must now decide whether including Jackson in the deal would be enough to bridge the gap to Juventus’ asking price or whether additional cash would be required to complete the transfer.
