LAGOS, Nigeria(VOICE OF NAIJA)- Nollywood actress Judy Austin has fired back at allegations from her former husband, Mr. Obasi, accusing him of neglecting their children while crediting her husband, Yul Edochie, for helping raise and support them.
Amid a long-running family dispute, the actress responded to the allegations, expressing frustration over what she described as continuous public attacks from her former spouse.
According to Judy, her ex-husband has repeatedly spoken about her in public without providing proof that he financially supported their children or made legal efforts to gain custody.
Addressing the controversy, Judy questioned why her former husband had allegedly failed to present evidence showing he had fulfilled his parental responsibilities.

“It hurts. Not once has he brought out evidence of taking care of this kids. Not once has he brought out any evidence of coming to court for custody. But he has a lot to say about me. All the campaigns have been about me,” she said.
The actress also used the opportunity to defend her husband, actor Yul Edochie, who has frequently faced criticism since their relationship became public.
Judy urged bloggers and social media users to stop directing insults at the Nollywood star, insisting that he should not be blamed for the issues surrounding her previous marriage.
“Please I am warning all you bloggers, stop insulting Yul Edochie, he has done nothing, absolutely nothing,” the actress stated.

Furthermore, she praised Yul for the role he has played in the lives of her children, claiming he has provided care, stability, and support despite not being their biological father.
“If anything, he has helped me take care of the kids that are not his biological kids. When the man that gave birth to them abandoned them. He has helped me to be a father figure in their lives, put a roof over their heads,” she added.
Judy went on to describe her ex-husband as a “deadbeat,” accusing him of abandoning his responsibilities while Yul stepped in to support the family.
“If anything, you people should praise him for being a kind and awesome man… How can a deadbeat come out and lie and people will not think….,” Judy fired back.
