LAGOS, Nigeria (VOICE OF NAIJA) – England’s preparations for the 2026 FIFA World Cup have suffered a setback following reports that defender Tino Livramento is facing a race against time to be fit for the tournament.
The Newcastle United full-back is reported to have sustained a hamstring injury, although the Football Association has yet to confirm the severity of the problem or whether he will miss the competition.
Livramento had been expected to provide valuable cover at right-back, with his pace and versatility making him an important option in Thomas Tuchel’s squad.
