LAGOS, Nigeria(VOICE OF NAIJA)- Nigerian disc jockey DJ Cuppy has revealed why she no longer sees herself marrying a Nigerian man, citing past dating experiences that left her questioning the intentions of potential partners.

The daughter of billionaire businessman Femi Otedola made the revelation during a recent appearance on the 3 Shots of Tequila podcast, where she reflected on the challenges she has faced in relationships.

The “Who’s Your Daddy” hitmaker disclosed that one particular experience made her rethink the intentions of some men who approach her.

She recalled dating a man who seemed more interested in meeting her father than getting to know her.

“I can never marry a Nigerian. It’s impossible. The last one I dated was asking me when he could meet my dad,” she said.

The entertainer explained that moments like that often leave her wondering whether people are genuinely interested in her or attracted to her family name and background.

“I didn’t even think they liked me. My dad doesn’t even care who I marry; he just wants me to get married,” she added.

Cuppy also referenced the marriage of her younger sister, Temi Otedola, to singer Mr Eazi, saying she is happy to see the couple thriving together.

“That’s why I’m so happy for Temi and Eazi,” Cuppy stated.

Her latest revelation has once again placed her love life in the spotlight.

Since the end of her engagement to American Internet personality Ryan Taylor, the entertainer has been open about her search for a life partner, frequently sharing her experiences with dating and relationships.

Over the years, she has spoken candidly about the highs and lows of finding love while living in the public eye.
