LAGOS, Nigeria(VOICE OF NAIJA)- Media personality Daddy Freeze has intensified his debate with reality TV star Cross Okonkwo by offering a ₦100 million challenge to anyone who can prove faith healing through a verifiable miracle.
The public disagreement began after Cross defended Christianity and cautioned Daddy Freeze against criticizing pastors and other religious figures.
“Daddy freeze with due respect sometimes keep your mouth shut. If you don’t know any thing about our father Jesus Christ. Don’t talk. And leave men and women of GOD out of your mouth,” Cross wrote.
Reacting to the statement, Daddy Freeze challenged those who believe in miraculous healing to publicly demonstrate it under what he described as verifiable conditions.

The broadcaster announced that he was willing to provide ₦50 million of his own money and raise another ₦50 million, bringing the total reward to ₦100 million, if a pastor could heal at least one person from a group of physically disabled individuals that he will provide.
“Cross, I hereby challenge you. I put 50 million down and I’ll raise another 50 million from my people, making 100 million if your so called men of God can heal just one cripple out of 50 cripples that I will provide,” Daddy Freeze said.
Daddy Freeze argued that if miraculous healing is real, it should be possible to prove it openly.
“You can’t tell me that out of 50, you can’t find one that has faith,” he added.

He also linked his argument to wider national concerns, questioning why supernatural intervention is not more visible in the face of insecurity, kidnappings, and the suffering experienced by many Nigerians.
“Children are in the bush, men of God cannot see where they are let alone to pray for them to come out. Young people are kpaing. In John chapter 11 Christ raised Lazarus,” he stated while comparing modern miracle claims with biblical accounts.
So far, no pastor has publicly accepted the challenge and Cross is also yet to respond to the broadcaster’s offer.
