LAGOS, Nigeria(VOICE OF NAIJA)- Nigerian singer Niniola has shared an emotional message about the death of her husband, Michael Idika, questioning God’s decision to take him away while expressing the deep pain and heartbreak she continues to endure.
In a series of post on her Instagram Story, the singer expressed her longing for her late husband, sharing the depth of her grief and admitting that life has become difficult without him.
“Where is Michael? I cannot live without Michael,” she wrote.
The emotional outburst comes weeks after Niniola announced the death of her husband, a tragedy that ended their 13-year journey together.
Reflecting on the loss, the singer said she and her husband had simply lived their lives peacefully without causing harm to anyone.
She questioned why God chose to take away the person who meant the most to her despite having the power to spare him.
“God, you could’ve taken my kidney, an arm or a leg. You should have even taken me instead. But that one person who made my life worth it, you took away from me,” she wrote.

Niniola continued by expressing her frustration and heartbreak, saying she feels unprepared to move forward without him.
“We did not disturb anybody o. Just living lives on our own terms. What a jealous God you truly are. Cos you had the power to spare him but decided to flex muscles,” she added.
The singer also ended the emotional message with a statement that reflected the intensity of her grief, saying, “Kukuna, finish what you started na. I’m ready.”
Last month, Niniola revealed her husband’s passing through a series of photos documenting their years together.
While she did not disclose the cause of death, she described the loss as a devastating moment in her life.
Since then, the singer has repeatedly shared memories, videos, and tributes dedicated to Michael, giving fans a glimpse into her ongoing struggle with grief.
