LAGOS, Nigeria(VOICE OF NAIJA)- Nollywood actress Uche Jombo has criticized the circulation of alleged photos and videos of late actor Alex Ekubo’s wife online, arguing that the actor had intentionally kept his partner away from public attention despite years of intense media scrutiny.
The controversy erupted shortly after Alex Ekubo’s service of songs on Wednesday, when images and videos purportedly showing his wife began making the rounds on social media.
Reacting to the development, Uche Jombo expressed disappointment over what she described as a disregard for the privacy the late actor had carefully maintained throughout his relationship.

Taking to social media, the actress questioned why bloggers and online platforms chose to publicize the woman’s identity despite clear efforts to keep her out of the spotlight.
“A husband who has been through public scrutiny kept his wife private (to protect her). None of his close friends ever shared her picture. She wore a face mask to his service of songs. Yet somehow, the privacy message didn’t register to bloggers. Woke up today to her videos and pictures all over my TL as breaking news,” she wrote.
According to Jombo, Alex’s decision to shield his wife from public attention should have been respected, especially considering the public interest that had surrounded his personal life for years.
The online conversation intensified after social media users reportedly identified the woman as Anulika Amakom Ekubo.
Unverified reports claim she is an Executive Director at NOG Oil and Gas Limited, a company involved in petroleum, LPG services, and energy transportation.
The reports also alleged that Alex and Anulika quietly tied the knot in December 2024, almost three years after his highly publicized engagement and planned wedding to Fancy Acholonu ended in 2021.
Still, fans were quick to note that although the pictures of the actor’s alleged wife were unconfirmed, Uche Jombo’s latest post verified the rumors.
