LAGOS, Nigeria(VOICE OF NAIJA)- Social media activist Martins Vincent Otse, widely known as VeryDarkMan, drew attention online after leading supporters to a Nigerian Air Force facility in Abuja, where they called on security agencies to intensify efforts against kidnappers and bandits.
Amid growing concerns about insecurity across parts of the country, the activist and his supporters known as the “Ratels” staged a protest at the Air Force base in Abuja.
Videos from the scene showed VeryDarkMan and his followers gathered outside the military facility, demanding stronger action against kidnappers and bandits responsible for attacks in several communities.
Addressing the crowd, the outspoken activist questioned the nation’s response to armed criminal groups and urged security agencies to focus more resources on tackling the growing security threat.

“Nigeria Air Force, if you have bullets to shoot us, you should also have bullets to shoot kidnappers and bandits. Take your aircraft to the bush and shoot them,” he said.
Supporters who accompanied the activist formed a protective ring around him during the protest.
Observers stated that the move reflected growing public support for his campaigns on social and national issues.
The demonstration adds to a growing list of public interventions by VeryDarkMan, who has become one of the country’s leading voice on governance, social justice, and public accountability.
