LAGOS, Nigeria(VOICE OF NAIJA)- Veteran Nollywood actress Shaffy Bello has shared a powerful message for young women, urging them to focus on self-worth and personal growth in an era dominated by social media validation.
The actress made the remarks during an appearance on The Morayo Show, hosted by Morayo Afolabi-Brown.
Speaking about the pressures facing young women today, Bello stressed that confidence and beauty should not be measured by how much of one’s body is displayed online.
According to her, many young women need guidance on making decisions that reflect their value, ambitions, and long-term goals rather than seeking instant attention.

Bello maintained that being “sexy” had nothing to do with exposing cleavage.
“There are too many young girls out there who need to hear that the seeds they sow matter. They need to hear, ‘No, you don’t have to show your boobs to be sexy.’ They need to hear, ‘No, you don’t have to shake your bum bum to go viral or get attention,” Bello said.
The actress emphasized that true attractiveness comes from character, confidence, and personal development, not from chasing trends or online approval.
Over the years, Bello has remained one of Nollywood’s most respected voices, often using her platform to speak on personal growth, relationships, and societal values.
