LAGOS, Nigeria(VOICE OF NAIJA)- Popular social media activist Verydarkman has called on teachers to stay away from work while urging parents to keep their children at home in response to the abduction of pupils and teachers in Oyo State.

In a video that has gained attention on social media, the influencer expressed concern over what he called a “curse” among Nigerians.

VDM stated that public attention often shifts quickly and fades from major national tragedies before enough pressure is placed on authorities to resolve critical situations.

Speaking in the viral video, Verydarkman said, “Nigerians are cursed with one thing, they think it’s a blessing but it’s a curse, they know how to move on quickly. However, on this issue on ground (Oyo State kidnapped students and teachers), we are not going to move on until they are released.”
