LAGOS, Nigeria(VOICE OF NAIJA)- Spotify has revealed its highly anticipated 2026 Songs of Summer list, spotlighting tracks that has enjoyed major chart success and global streaming numbers.
Among the selected songs is “Raindance,” the collaboration between British-Nigerian rapper Dave and Grammy-winning Nigerian music star Tems.
The annual list was put together by Spotify’s global editorial team, which identifies songs with the potential to become defining hits of the summer based on listening patterns and music trends across different regions.
The Editorial Lead Pop at Spotify Talia Kraines, said its editors closely monitor developments in the music industry before selecting songs they believe will resonate with audiences across genres and borders this summer season.

“It’s a song that makes you feel good, that you can listen to outside in the sunshine with your friends, and that has the ability to travel across genres, people, and countries,” Kraines said.
Dave and Tems secured their place on the list with “Raindance (feat. Tems),” a song released in October 2025 as the fifth track from Dave’s third studio album, ‘The Boy Who Played the Harp’.
The record was produced by Jo Caleb, Kyle Evans, Jim Legxacy, alongside the artists themselves, blending Tems soulful melodies with Dave’s reflective rap style.
