LAGOS, Nigeria(VOICE OF NAIJA)- Nigerian music star Peter Okoye, popularly known as Mr P, has declared that he is ready to speak more openly about insecurity and governance issues in the country.

The Afrobeat star made his position known in a post shared on X, saying he is no longer concerned about criticism or attempts to silence him.

The ā€œOne More Nightā€ hitmaker expressed frustration over the current state of affairs in Nigeria.

He revealed that he is prepared to face criticism and online attacks for speaking his mind on national issues.

ā€œThe way I’m about to start speaking out on insecurity and bad governance in Nigeria, all these N3k sponsored attackers better get ready,ā€ Mr P tweeted.

The award-winning singer maintained that fear of backlash would not stop him from sharing his opinions.

He suggested that efforts to intimidate or discourage him had lost their effect, stressing that he did not care if his music suffers boycott.

ā€œIf una wan cancel me, make una line up well. Cos me too I don fall out,ā€ he added.

His comments come amid concerns over insecurity, particularly the recent abductions of school children and teachers in Oyo State.
