ABUJA, Nigeria (VOICE OF NAIJA)-Moshood Abiola Polytechnic (MAPOLY), Abeokuta, has expelled 365 students for allegedly gaining admission into the institution with falsified academic credentials.
The institution said the affected students were discovered during various Higher National Diploma (HND) programmes across its academic schools, following a verification exercise on admission documents.
According to a statement issued in Abeokuta on Monday by the Head of Public Relations and Protocol, Mr Yemi Ajibola, investigations showed that the students submitted fake National Diploma (ND) results and forged transcripts from different institutions to secure admission.
The polytechnic said the expulsion followed a comprehensive review of academic records submitted during admission and registration processes, aimed at ensuring credibility within the system.
